COVID-19 has not only been a scourge to the health and wealth of nations, it has also been the stimulus for a significant increase in fraud. 

In a December 2020 report, “Fraud in the Wake of COVID-19: Benchmarking Report”, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners have identified that there has been a significant increase in the overall level of fraud over the last 12 months, and particularly since the start of the pandemic.

Who’s at risk?
